DECISION
The Parties referred this grievance regarding leave at the Whitby Jail to mediation/arbitration in accordance with Article 22.16 of the Collective Agreement.
At the outset of the hearing, the Parties agreed that I had the jurisdiction to deal with this matter and they requested that I issue a without prejudice decision, with no reasons.
Having carefully reviewed the evidence and the submissions of the parties, I hereby order that the employer be directed to pay to the grievor, the separation allowance as captured in Article 20 of the Collective Agreement.
Dated at Toronto this 25th day of March 2003.
