HEARING
May 12, 2003.
Decision
The Parties referred this grievance regarding discrimination in regards to a job competition at the Sudbury Jail to mediation/arbitration in accordance with Article 22.16 of the Collective Agreement.
At the outset of the hearing, the Parties agreed that I had the jurisdiction to deal with this matter and they requested that I issue a without prejudice and without precedent decision with no reasons.
Having carefully reviewed the evidence and the submissions of the Parties with respect to this matter, I have concluded that there is no violation of the collective agreement. Accordingly, the grievance is dismissed.
Dated at Toronto this 11th day of September 2003.
