HEARING
May 15, 2003.
DECISION
The Parties referred this grievance regarding a Youth Worker position (Correctional Officer II classification) job competition at the Cecil Facer Youth Centre (Ministry File # CS9046-01) to mediation/ arbitration in accordance with Article 22.16 of the Collective Agreement.
At the outset of the hearing, the Parties agreed that I exercise my jurisdiction to decide this matter.
Having carefully reviewed the evidence presented and the submissions of the Parties, I hereby order that the grievor be appointed to the Classified position of Youth Worker at the Cecil Facer Youth Centre effective May 26,2003.
I shall remain seised should the Parties encounter any difficulties arising in the implementation of this order.
Accordingly, the aforementioned grievance is resolved.
