HEARING
November 28, 2002.
DECISION
The Parties referred these conversion grievances from employees at the Sault Ste. Marie Jail to mediation/arbitration in accordance with Article 22.16 of the Collective Agreement.
At the outset of the hearing, the Parties agreed that I had the jurisdiction to deal with these matters and they requested that I issue a without prejudice decision with no reasons.
Having carefully reviewed the submissions of the Parties, as well as the jurisprudence from the Grievance Settlement Board regarding this matter, I find that there is no violation of the collective agreement. Accordingly, the grievances are hereby dismissed.
Dated at Toronto, this 5th day of December, 2002.
