HEARING July 4, 2002.
DECISION
Ms. Bonnie Perkins was an unclassified part time registered nursing assistant (RNA) at Brockville Psychiatric Hospital from July 15, 1991 to October 15, 2001, when she became a full-time classified RNA. As she acknowledges, when she became a full-time RNA her “effective start date…. was calculated according to the collective agreement.” However, in her grievance she objects to the method of calculating seniority under the collective agreement and states that she has been given no credit for hours of work done as a part-time casual.
After considering the submissions of the parties, and pursuant to the expedited ‘Med-Arb’ process under the collective agreement, I hereby dismiss the grievance because there has been, as acknowledged by the grievor, no breach of the collective agreement.
Dated at Toronto this 22^nd^ day of July, 2002.
