AWARD

At the time scheduled for the hearing in this matter, no one appeared on behalf of the employer.

As a consequence the matter was stood down in the event that the employer had been unavoidably delayed.

However, approximately one hour after the scheduled start time, the union representative advised that his efforts to contact or otherwise ascertain the whereabouts of the person he believed to be the employer representative in this matter had yielded no tangible results.

In the circumstances, I granted the union’s request that the matter be adjourned and rescheduled by the Board for an early hearing date.
