RULING

The hearing in this matter has been ongoing for some time. On October 31, 2000, the Employer requested an adjournment of the hearing scheduled for November 10^th.

Following submissions of the parties, and over the objection of the Union, the Board granted the request for adjournment as counsel for the Employer, who has only recently taken over this file, is unavailable on that date due to a prior commitment at the Ontario Labour Relations Board.

Further hearing dates have been agreed to between the parties and additional dates are being considered.

I will remain seised until this matter is finally resolved.
