DECISION ON MOTION
College Counsel brought a motion to seek leave from a panel of the Discipline Committee (the “Committee”) to withdraw the allegations set out in the Notice of Hearing dated June 16, 2015 (Exhibit 1).
Christopher Vincent was present and had legal representation.
College Counsel sought leave of the Committee to withdraw the allegations of professional misconduct set out in the Notice of Hearing so that the matter could be dealt with more appropriately by another Committee of the Ontario College of Teachers.
Counsel for the Member agreed with College Counsel’s request for leave and the submissions made supporting the request.
The Committee has jurisdiction to make the order requested pursuant to Rule 13(13) of the Rules of Procedure of the Discipline Committee and of the Fitness to Practise Committee.
Having considered the submissions of College Counsel and Counsel for the Member, the Committee authorizes the College to withdraw the allegations of professional misconduct against Christopher Vincent set out in the Notice of Hearing dated June 16, 2015.
The Committee is satisfied that the request for withdrawal in the circumstances is reasonable, appropriate and in the public interest.
