REASONS FOR DECISION AND DECISION ON MOTION
Counsel for the College and the Member brought a motion to seek leave from the Committee to withdraw the Notice of Hearing dated February 4, 2004 in exchange for the Undertaking and Acknowledgment of Peter Boulanger, dated June 9, 2004.
The parties consented that Bernard Adam, who had conducted a pre-hearing in this matter, be part of the Committee hearing the motion.
The Committee accepts that this resolution is in the public interest. The Committee therefore grants leave to the College to withdraw the Notice of Hearing and accepts the undertaking of the Member to
- immediately resign his membership in the Ontario College of Teachers and
surrender his original certificate of qualification and registration;
- never teach again in the Province of Ontario or elsewhere; and
- never seek reinstatement of his certificate of qualification and registration.
The Member also acknowledges that the Public Register of the Ontario College of Teachers will reflect the fact that the Member has resigned as a member while disciplinary proceedings were in progress and the terms of the Member’s undertaking.
