Rieso James Pellegrini
On November 9, 2001, the Discipline Committee found Rieso Pellegrini guilty of professional misconduct. The Committee agreed to reconvene on November 19, 2001 to hear submissions on the issue of penalty, at the request of the member.
After reviewing the evidence and submissions by counsel, the Committee directs that, pursuant to section 30 (4) (i) of the Ontario College of Teachers Act, the Registrar revoke Rieso Pellegrini’s Certificate of Qualification and Registration immediately. The Committee is concerned that the member showed no regard for the consequences of his actions and no remorse that his actions affected the Board, the students and the parents.
The member was in a position of significant trust and breached that trust on several fronts; this had considerable impact on the decision of the Committee to revoke.
Pursuant to section 30(5)(iii) of the Ontario College of Teachers Act, the Committee orders that the findings of this hearing, as well as the name of the member, be published in the official publication of the Ontario College of Teachers.
DATED AT TORONTO, THIS 19th DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2001
BY ORDER OF THE DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE
Guill Archambault, Chair
