IN THE MATTER OF A NOTICE OF APPLICATION BY THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF MIDLAND AND THE MIDLAND POLICE SERVICES BOARD FOR THE CONSENT OF THE ONTARIO CIVILIAN POLICE COMMISSION TO DISBANDMENT OF THE MIDLAND POLICE SERVICE PURSUANT TO SECTION 40 OF THE POLICE SERVICES ACT, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.15.
AND
IN THE MATTER OF THE DECISION OF THE ONTARIO CIVILIAN POLICE COMMISSION DATED JANUARY 23, 2018 CONSENTING TO THAT APPLICATION.
ORDER
The Commission orders the following:
- Any dispute with the Midland Police Services Board as to severance pay owing to the Chief of Police of the Midland Police Service, or to any other member of the Midland Police Service as represented by the Midland Police Association or the Senior Officers’ Association is to be submitted to arbitration in accordance with the provisions of the Police Services Act.
