1On March 20, 2025, Daniel Johnson has pled guilty to five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking under section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and one count of possession of property obtained by crime, namely cash proceeds of trafficking contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
2The offence date is exactly one year prior; March 20, 2024. On that day, following an investigation that commenced in January 2024, police arrested Mr. Johnson and conducted searches of a residence in Bracebridge, a residence in Toronto and of at least three vehicles.
3Narcotics were found at the two residences and in several vehicles. Mr. Johnson has admitted that he was in legal possession of the substances for the purpose of trafficking. The charges were framed based on whether substances were found in Toronto or Bracebridge. The facts were read in by substance, reading in amounts found in the other jurisdiction except for the possession of cocaine for which Mr. Johnson pled guilty to counts
