ORDER
1The Applicant filed a claim with the CICB seeking compensation pursuant to the Compensation for Victims of Crime Act, RSO 1990, c. C24.
2The Applicant was served by mail with a Notice of Hearing at his last known address. As such, the CICB is satisfied that the Applicant has been served with a Notice of Hearing.
3The Hharing was scheduled for March 14, 2017 at 1:30 pm. The Applicant failed to appear by 2:15 pm.
4The CICB, pursuant to section 7(1) of the Statutory Powers Procedure Act, RSO 1990, c. S-22, as amended, and CICB Rule 3.4, is entitled to proceed in the absence of the Applicant without any further notice.
5Without deciding the merits of the Application, the CICB hereby dismisses this Application as abandoned on the basis that the Applicant has failed to appear.
