OVERVIEW
1This is an Application filed with the Child and Family Services Review Board (“CFSRB”) under section 120 of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017, S.O. 2017, c.14, Sched.1 (the “Act”).
BACKGROUND
2The Applicant raises issues and concerns related to the conduct of the Respondent in its termination of services to her and the children in her care and its transfer of responsibility for services to another child protection agency.
3The CFSRB found the Application eligible to proceed under sections 120(4)4 and 120(4)5 of the Act on May 20, 2025.
4At a Mediation/Pre-hearing on June 16, 2026, the parties were unable to reach an agreement. A hearing was then scheduled for September 8, 2025.
5On September 4, 2025, the Respondent’s representative emailed the CFSRB to advise that the parties had come to an agreement to resolve this matter.
6At the hearing on September 8, 2025, the Respondent’s representative confirmed that the parties had reached a settlement. The Applicant was not present. The CFSRB indicated that the file would be closed based on the settlement reached by the parties.
ORDER
7The file is closed as settled in accordance with the terms of the agreement set out in the email from the Respondent’s representative to the Applicant and the CFSRB on September 4, 2025.
