DECISION
Adjudicator: Catherine Bickley Date: May 8, 2024 Citation: 2024 CFSRB 53 Indexed As: MJ v Children’s Aid Society of Toronto (CYFSA s.120)
INTRODUCTION
1This is an Application filed with the Child and Family Services Review Board (“CFSRB”) pursuant to section 120 of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017, SO 2017, c.14, Sched.1, (the “Act”).
2This decision explains why the CFSRB is dismissing the Application.
The Applicant has abandoned her Application
3In an April 16, 2024 Case Management Direction (“CMD”), the CFSRB directed the Applicant to make written submissions by April 29, 2024 on whether she had sought or received any services from the Respondent.
4The CMD was sent to the email address the Applicant had provided to the CFSRB and was not returned as undeliverable. I am satisfied that the Applicant received the CMD.
5The Applicant did not contact the CFSRB by April 29, 2024, as directed by the CMD, or at any time up to today. I conclude that she has abandoned her Application and it must be dismissed.
ORDER
6The Application is dismissed.
