DISMISSAL ORDER
1This order explains why this case is dismissed under Rule 19 of the Tribunal Rules. The Tribunal has no authority to hear or decide the issues in this application.
2The application alleges that Toronto Standard Condominium Corporation No. 3018 (the Respondent, “TSCC 3018”) followed improper practices to obtain condominium insurance and that the board schedules meetings without considering the owner's availability to attend. The Applicant owns a unit in TSCC 3018.
3This is a dispute about procurement and governance. These issues are beyond the Tribunal’s jurisdiction as set out in Ontario Regulation 179/17 (“O. Reg. 179/17”). The Tribunal may only consider condominium-related issues that fall within this jurisdiction.
4The Tribunal issued a Notice of Intent to Dismiss the Application. The applicant responded to restate their concerns with the governance decisions of the corporation. None of the submissions addressed the problems identified in the Notice. I find that the issues identified in this application are beyond the jurisdiction of the CAT. Accordingly, I order that this case be dismissed.
