PROCEDURAL ORDER
INTRODUCTION:
1Appellant Harry Battu (the "Appellant") filed an appeal of the assessment returned by Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (“MPAC”) on a property known as 1329 Meredith Avenue in the City of Mississauga (“subject property”).
2A full hearing telephone conference was held on June 10, 2021. During testimony it became clear that, owing to the restrictions imposed by the presence of COVID 19 and the restrictions on property access and inspection, MPAC had not been able to fully understand the existing level of development of the subject property.
3In order to address the evidentiary requirements for the Assessment Review Board (“Board”) to make a finding of fact on the appeals before it, the Parties have consented to the following:
The Appellant is to provide a comprehensive photographic record of each room in the subject dwelling, illustrating the nature of each room and the level of finish. The record shall include any rooms that the Appellant considers ‘unfinished’.
The Appellant is to provide MPAC and the Board with these photographs together with any narrative or commentary about the contents of the photographs by July 5, 2021.
MPAC is to provide any response to the Appellant’s productions, to both the Appellant and the Board, by July 19, 2021.
4On consent, the hearing of these appeals shall proceed by telephone conference call on Thursday, August 05, 2021 at 9:30 am.
5Individuals are directed to call 416-212-8012 or Toll Free 1-866-633-0848 on the assigned date at the correct time. When prompted, enter the code 4892355# to be connected to the call. Persons participating in the call should call in early to avoid technical delay as it is the responsibility of the persons participating in the call to ensure that they are properly connected to the call and at the correct time. Questions prior to the call may be directed to the Board’s Case Coordinator having carriage of this case.
6Failure to comply with the above may result in a dismissal of the appeals.
7I am seized.
