Order of the Assessment Review Board
These matters came before the Assessment Review Board at a pre-hearing telephone conference call held on September 15, 2015 at 10 am.
The Board finds the assessed persons/appellants to be in default of a previous Order of the Board that required the assessed persons/appellants to serve a Statement of Issues on the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) and the municipality and file proof of service with the Board.
The Board orders that:
The assessed persons/appellants shall serve a Statement of Issues on MPAC and the municipality no later than October 15, 2015.
The assessed persons/appellants shall file notice of service of the Statement of Issues with the Board no later than October 15, 2015.
The assessed persona/appellants are given notice that if the Board does not receive notice of service of the Statement of issues by said date, the Board will dismiss the appeals in accordance with section 8.2 of the Assessment Review Board Act without further notice to the parties.
In the event that the assessed persons/appellants comply with this Board Order,
MPAC shall serve responses on the assessed persons/appellants and the municipality no later than January 20, 2016.
If the municipality intends to take part in the proceedings, it shall serve responses on MPAC and the assessed person/appellant no later than January 20, 2016.
These matters are adjourned to a further telephone conference call to take place on February 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. (hearing number 603631).
