The Ontario College of Teachers brought a discipline proceeding against a member for professional misconduct involving the verbal, physical, and psychological abuse of very young students.
The member pled no contest to the allegations, which included yelling at students, making demeaning comments, and forcefully grabbing and moving them.
The Discipline Committee found the member guilty of professional misconduct.
The member entered into an undertaking to permanently resign and never teach again.
The Committee accepted a joint submission on penalty, ordering that the member receive a reprimand to be recorded on the Register.
