The Board of Inquiry convened a teleconference to discuss the scheduling of a human rights complaint hearing following a Court of Appeal decision remitting the matter back to the Board.
The respondent indicated it would seek leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada and argued the Board had no continuing jurisdiction.
The Vice-Chair directed the complainant to provide submissions on whether the hearing should be stayed or adjourned pending the leave application, and on the status of a prior disclosure order.
