1The applicant filed an Application under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”), on April 4, 2017.

2On May 11, 2017, the Registrar issued a Notice of Intent to Dismiss the Application (“NOID”) on the basis that the Application failed to identify any specific acts of discrimination within the meaning of the Code. The Registrar directed the applicant to provide written submissions on these issues by June 12, 2017. The Registrar warned that failure to provide the requested submissions would result in the Tribunal making a decision based solely on the information in the Application and might result in the Tribunal dismissing the Application as abandoned.

3The Registrar’s May 11, 2017 letter was sent by regular mail, and was not returned as undeliverable. The Registrar re-issued the NOID on June 26, 2017, by email, requiring submissions by July 3, 2017.

4The applicant has not responded to the letter or email and the time to do so has now passed.

5In the circumstances, the applicant is deemed to have abandoned the Application and the Application is dismissed.
