1The applicant filed an Application alleging that the respondents violated the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended.
2On April 27, 2017, the Tribunal issued a Notice of Mediation to the parties confirming that the Tribunal scheduled a mediation of the Application for August 4, 2017. The Tribunal sent the Notice to the applicant by mail and email to the addresses provided by the applicant in the Application and it was not returned as undeliverable.
3The applicant did not attend the scheduled mediation and he did not communicate with the Tribunal to explain the failure to attend.
4On August 11, 2017, the Tribunal wrote the applicant directing him to advise it of his intentions with respect to the Application. The letter warned the applicant that the Tribunal might consider a failure to respond to the letter in writing by August 21, 2017 as an abandonment of the Application. The Tribunal sent the letter to the applicant by mail and email to the addresses provided by the applicant in the Application and it was not returned as undeliverable.
5The applicant has not responded to the Tribunal’s letter and the time for doing so has passed.
6In the circumstances, the applicant is deemed to have abandoned the Application.
ORDER
7The Application is dismissed.
