DECISION
Adjudicator: Douglas Sanderson Date: December 14, 2017 Citation: 2017 HRTO 1656 Indexed as: Melville v. Toronto (City)
APPEARANCES
Andrea Melville, Applicant Self-represented
City of Toronto, Respondent Darraugh Meagher, Counsel
Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 79, Respondent Douglas Wray, Counsel
1This is an Application filed under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”), that alleged discrimination with respect to employment because of race, colour, place of origin and ethnic origin.
2The applicant filed a Request to Withdraw the Application on November 17, 2014. The respondents did not oppose the request and the Tribunal granted the request by way of letter dated November 19, 2014. The Tribunal advised the parties that it had closed its file in this matter.
3On November 10, 2017, the applicant purported to file a Request for a Tribunal Ordered Inquiry. Both respondents filed submissions opposing this request. It is unnecessary to consider either the request or the respondents’ submissions in any detail because, as the respondents noted, this matter was withdrawn three years ago. The Application is closed, which means the matter is at an end. In other words, there is no Application regarding which the applicant can file requests.
4The applicant’s request is denied.
Dated at Toronto, this 14th day of December, 2017.
