1The applicants filed separate Applications under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the "Code"), on September 28, 2016.

2On May 23, 2017, the Tribunal issued a joint Notice of Mediation to the parties confirming that a joint mediation of both these Applications would take place on October 9, 2017, starting at 1:30 p.m. The Notice was mailed to both applicants at their respective email and mailing addresses as provided in the Applications. Neither Notice was returned as undeliverable.

3The applicants did not attend the scheduled mediation session and did not communicate with the Tribunal to explain their failure to attend.

4On October 16, 2017, the Tribunal wrote to the applicants directing them to advise the Tribunal of their intentions with respect to their Applications. The letters warned the applicants that a failure to respond to in writing within ten days may be deemed an abandonment of their respective Applications.

5As of the date of this Decision, neither applicant has responded to the Tribunal, and the Tribunal's correspondence to the applicants has not been returned.

6In the circumstances, the applicants are deemed to have abandoned their Applications and the Applications are dismissed.
