1This Interim Decision addresses the applicant’s request to re-activate this deferred Application.
2The applicant filed an Application alleging that the respondent discriminated against her contrary to the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”). By Interim Decision 2017 HRTO 796 (the “July 2017 Interim Decision”) the Tribunal deferred consideration of the Application pending the conclusion of the arbitration of a number of grievances, which are scheduled to be heard on November 29, 2017.
3The applicant filed a Request to re-activate the Application on September 27, 2017. The reasons given for the Request, however, do not appear to be related to the grievance proceedings, but rather appear to be simply a restatement of the allegations raised in the original Application..
4The respondent opposed the request to re-activate on the basis that the grievances are ongoing.
5It is not appropriate to re-activate this Application at this time. The grievance proceedings appears to be ongoing, and are proceeding to arbitration within a matter of weeks. In my view, for the same reasons given in the July 2017 Interim Decision, the Application must remain deferred until the conclusion of the grievance proceedings.

6For these reasons above, the applicant’s request to re-activate the Application is denied.
