Introduction
The applicant filed an Application alleging discrimination under the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19. The applicant initially filed her Application against Reza Zoghi. She then amended it to name Pita Land as an organizational respondent and Mr. Zoghi as the organizational representative. The Application relates to an incident that allegedly occurred on October 27, 2016.
By letter dated July 5, 2017, a representative of Pita Land wrote to the Tribunal to state that Mr. Zoghi had not been employed by the respondent since May 14, 2015.
On September 20, 2017, the Tribunal wrote to the applicant to request her intentions with respect to the Application. In the letter, the Tribunal directed the applicant to advise it by October 2, 2017 whether she intended to proceed with the Application. The Tribunal noted that, if the applicant did not respond to the letter, the Tribunal might deem the Application to be abandoned. The Tribunal sent its September 20, 2017 letter to the mailing address and email address listed in the Application.
The applicant did not respond to the letter and the time for doing so has passed.
