-and-
Evertz Microsystems Respondent
Decision
Adjudicator: Eban Bayefsky Date: September 8, 2017 Citation: 2017 HRTO 1168 Indexed as: Harrison v. Evertz Microsystems
1The applicant filed an Application under the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c.H.19, as amended (the “Code”), on March 14, 2017.
2On April 25, 2017, the Registrar issued a Notice of Intent to Dismiss the Application on the basis that the Application failed to identify any specific acts of discrimination within the meaning of the Code allegedly committed by the respondent. The Registrar directed the applicant to provide submissions on the issue by May 25, 2017, failing which the Tribunal would make a decision based solely on the information in the Application, or dismiss the Application as abandoned.
3The Registrar’s letter was sent by regular mail and email to the addresses provided by the applicant, and was not returned as undeliverable.
4In the circumstances, the applicant is deemed to have abandoned the Application and the Application is dismissed.
Dated at Toronto, this 8th day of September, 2017.
