DECISION
Adjudicator: Esi Codjoe Decision Date: August 31, 2017 Citation: 2017 HRTO 1131 Indexed as: Grannum v. The Career Foundation
Introduction
1The applicant filed an Application under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”), on February 17, 2017.
2On June 22, 2017 the Tribunal issued a Notice of Intent to Dismiss (“NOID”). The NOID warned the applicant that failure to respond to the correspondence could lead to the Tribunal viewing his Application as being abandoned. On July 21, 2017, the applicant wrote to the Tribunal and sought an extension of time to file his Response to a Notice. On July 21, 2017 the Tribunal granted his request for an extension until August 3, 2017. The correspondence was emailed to the email address that the applicant listed in the Application, and was not returned to the Tribunal as undeliverable.
3The applicant did not respond to the August 3, 2017 correspondence.
4In the circumstances, the applicant is deemed to have abandoned the Application and the Application is dismissed.
Dated at Toronto, this 31st day of August, 2017.
