INTERIM DECISION
Adjudicator: Josée Bouchard
Indexed as: Wei v. Paramount Steel Limited
WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS
Hanqiao Wei, Applicant
Self-represented
1This Interim Decision addresses the applicant’s request to re-activate his deferred Application.
2The applicant filed an Application under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”), alleging discrimination with respect to employment because of disability. The Tribunal deferred the Application in 2013 HRTO 434 pending the completion of a proceeding before the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal (“WSIAT”).
3On June 6, 2016, the applicant filed a Request for Order During Proceedings seeking to re-activate the Application. The applicant made no submissions but appended a copy of the WSIAT decision, which appears to have concluded the other proceeding. The respondent did not respond to the Request and the time for doing so has passed.
4In the circumstances I find that it is appropriate to re-activate the Application.

Dated at Toronto, this 28th day of June, 2016.
