INTERIM DECISION
Adjudicator: Jo-Anne Pickel
Indexed as: Bali v. Regional Municipality of Peel Regional Police Services Board
WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS
Mohit Bali, Applicant
Self-represented
1This Interim Decision addresses the applicant’s second request that the Tribunal adjourn the summary hearing into his two Applications scheduled for July 11, 2016.
2In Interim Decision 2016 HRTO 665, I denied the applicant’s first request for an adjournment because of his failure to provide sufficient medical documentation to support his request.
3On May 20, 2016, the applicant sent to the Tribunal a medical note from his doctor stating that he has aggravated medical symptoms that make it difficult for him to deal with significant and stressful matters. The doctor recommended that any significant matters be postponed for at least 6 months.
4Based on the medical information provided by the applicant, I find it appropriate to grant his request to adjourn the July 11, 2016 summary hearing. The Tribunal will put the Application in abeyance until November 21, 2016.
order
5For the reasons set out above, the hearing scheduled for July 11, 2016 is adjourned. The Application will be placed in abeyance until November 21, 2016. On that date, if the Tribunal has not received a request to extend the period of abeyance, the Application will be placed back in the Tribunal’s hearing scheduling queue. If the applicant wishes to request an extension of the abeyance period, he must file medical evidence from his treating physician explaining why he remains unable to participate in a hearing.
Dated at Toronto, this 26^th^ day of May, 2016.
