DECISION
Adjudicator: Alison Renton
Indexed as: Woldearegay v. Olympia Holdings
1This Application alleges discrimination with respect to employment, housing, goods, services and facilities because of colour and place of origin contrary to the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the "Code").
2The Application has not been sent to the respondents to file Responses.
3On June 8, 2016, the Tribunal issued a Notice of Intent to Dismiss ("NOID") to the applicant stating that it appeared that her Application failed to identify any specific acts of discrimination within the meaning of the Code. The Tribunal directed the applicant to file submissions by July 8, 2016 and warned about the consequences of not filing submissions.
4The applicant wrote to the Tribunal requesting an extension. She indicated that she was getting advice from "legal support". The Tribunal granted the applicant an extension until August 12, 2016, as per its email dated June 28, 2016.
5The applicant has not filed her submissions or otherwise communicated with the Tribunal. In these circumstances, her Application is dismissed as abandoned.
Dated at Toronto, this 19th day of August 19, 2016.
