INTERIM DECISION
Adjudicator: Naomi Overend
Indexed as: Adamsu v. Metropolitan Toronto Condominium Corporation No.997
WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS
Yohannes Adamsu, Applicant
Self-represented
1This Application alleges discrimination with respect to housing because of ancestry, disability, race, colour, place of origin and ethnic origin contrary to the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”).
2The applicant filed two Requests for an Order During Proceedings (Forms 10) asking to amend his Application to include the ground of reprisal and the allegations relating to that ground concerning events that took place after he filed his Application. The respondents have not filed Responses to either Request and the time for so doing has now passed.
3In light of the timely requests to amend, the relatively early stage of the proceedings, the nature of the amendments and the respondents’ apparent lack of objection, the applicant’s request is granted. The respondents shall have until June 26, 2015 to file any amended Response(s).
Dated at Toronto, this 29th day of May, 2015.
