1This Application alleges discrimination with respect to employment because of sex contrary to the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”).
2Mediation was scheduled for September 29, 2015 and a Notice of this Mediation date was sent to both parties. The Notice of Mediation was mailed to the applicant at the updated address she had provided to the Tribunal and respondent. The Notice of Mediation was not returned as undeliverable.
3The applicant did not attend the mediation on September 29, 2015.
4On September 30, 2015, the Tribunal sent a letter to the applicant advising of her failure to appear at mediation and asking her to advise the Tribunal by October 13, 2015 whether she intended to proceed with the Application. The letter also advised the applicant that if she failed to respond by October 13, 2015, the Tribunal may deem the Application to be abandoned.
5The applicant has had no further contact with the Tribunal.
6In these circumstances, the applicant is deemed to have abandoned the Application.
7The Application is dismissed.
