Introduction
1The applicant filed an Application under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19 as amended, on April 1, 2014. He failed to attend a scheduled mediation, but in response to a letter from the Tribunal, said he wished to pursue his matter. A hearing date was scheduled by letter dated November 25, 2014.
2On December 4, 2014, the Tribunal sent the applicant an email requesting he provide his current mailing address. The applicant did not respond to that request. On December 15, 2014, the Tribunal sent a further email to the applicant requesting that he select three mutually available dates to reschedule a previously scheduled hearing. The applicant did not respond to this request.
3The Tribunal sent a further letter to the applicant, via email, on December 24, 2015 asking that the applicant confirm his intentions with respect to the Application. The applicant was informed that if he did not advise the HRTO of his intentions by January 7, 2015 the Application could be dismissed as abandoned.
4To date, the applicant has not responded to any of the Tribunal’s correspondence as outlined above.
5In the circumstances, the applicant is deemed to have abandoned the Application.
6The Application is dismissed.
