1This Application alleges discrimination with respect to services because of race and colour contrary to the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”). The applicant alleges that his race and colour were factors in the decisions of a police officer to pull him over while he was driving, and to charge him for driving without insurance and for knowingly producing false insurance information.

2The respondent denies any discrimination and requests that the Tribunal dismiss the Application on the grounds that it has no jurisdiction to grant the remedies requested by the applicant and that another proceeding has appropriately dealt with the substance of the Application.

3The Tribunal wrote to the applicant on May 16, 2014 and provided him with the Response. The applicant was directed to file a Reply. He was also directed to provide documents relating to the criminal proceeding that arose from the applicant being charged, as well as to provide submissions on the respondent’s requests to dismiss the Application. He was told that if he did not comply with these directions by May 30, 2014, then the Tribunal could decide that he had abandoned his Application.

4The applicant has not provided any of the documents requested and the time for doing so has now passed. I have no reason to think he did not receive the Tribunal’s directions. As the applicant has not filed a Reply or provided the documents and submissions requested, I determine that he has abandoned his Application.
