1This is an Application filed under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”), alleging discrimination with respect to employment because of age.

2On March 21, 2014, the Tribunal issued a Notice of Intent to Dismiss (“NOID”) this Application on the basis that it appeared to be outside of the Tribunal’s jurisdiction because it appeared that one of the respondents may be a federally-regulated employer and because there were no specific acts of discrimination identified in the Application.

3In response to the NOID the applicant indicated that he has made contact with the Canadian Human Rights Commission.

4In order to ensure the fair, just and expeditious adjudication of this Application the Tribunal directed in a Case Assessment Direction issued on May 2, 2014, that the applicant confirm whether or not he intended to proceed with this Application and deliver his submissions in response to the NOID within 28 days of the Direction failing which the Application may be dismissed as abandoned.

5As of this writing the applicant has not complied with these Directions and does not appear to have contacted the Tribunal in any way. In the circumstances, the Application is deemed to have been abandoned and is dismissed.
