DECISION
Adjudicator: David Muir
Indexed as: Akow-Haskins v. National Student Loans Services Centre
1The applicant filed an Application under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”), on March 3, 2014.
2On April 4, 2014 the Tribunal issued a Notice of Intent to Dismiss the Application (“NOID”) because it appeared that the Application was outside of the Tribunal’s jurisdiction to decide. The applicant did not respond to the NOID and the time for doing so passed.
3On May 16, 2014 the Tribunal wrote to the applicant and provided a second copy of the NOID and directed that the applicant respond to the NOID before May 26, 2014.
4The applicant has not responded and the time for doing so has now passed.
5In the circumstances, the applicant is deemed to have abandoned the Application.
6The Application is dismissed.
Dated at Toronto, this 10th day of June, 2014.
