Introduction
1The applicant filed an Application under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the "Code"), on February 26, 2013.
2On July 29, 2013, the Tribunal received correspondence from the applicant providing a change of address.
3On September 23, 2013, the Tribunal issued a Case Assessment Direction directing that a Summary Hearing be held to determine if the Application had a reasonable prospect of success. The Case Assessment Direction was sent to the applicant's new address.
4On October 22, 2013, the Tribunal issued a Notice of Summary Hearing scheduling the Summary Hearing for February 14, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Notice of Summary Hearing was also sent to the applicant's new address.
5None of the above correspondence sent to the applicant was returned to the Tribunal as undeliverable.
6The applicant did not attend the Summary Hearing on February 14, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. In accordance with its usual practice, the Tribunal waiting until 10:00 a.m. for the applicant to attend.
7It appears from the applicant's failure to attend the Summary Hearing that the applicant has abandoned the Application. In these circumstances, the Application is dismissed as abandoned.
