Respondent
INTERIM DECISION
Adjudicator: David Muir
Indexed as: Codrin v. Commissionaires Great Lakes
1The applicant filed this Application under section 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”), alleging discrimination in employment on the basis of disability and reprisal. A hearing is scheduled to take place on April 21 and 22, 2015. .
2The applicant filed a Request for Order During Proceedings (“Request”) seeking to amend the Application.
3The respondent did not respond to the Request.
4I have reviewed the amendments which appear to be in the nature of further particulars of the general allegations made in the Application. The applicant is not seeking to add new grounds of discrimination or change in a substantial way the nature of the case. I note as well that the Request was brought well prior to the hearing. In the circumstances it appears that the requested amendment will not alter the nature of the hearing in any material way. Accordingly the Request is granted. If the respondent intends to respond to the amended Application they shall do so within 21 days of the date of this Interim Decision.
5I am not seized of this case.
Dated at Toronto, this 8th day of December, 2014.
