1The hearing into this Application was held May 22, 2013, January 15, 2014 and January 16, 2014. Prior to the conclusion of the evidence on January 16, 2014, the parties entered into an agreement and requested that the Tribunal issue an Order on consent under s. 45.9 (2) of the Code. The written agreement was subsequently signed by the applicant on January 20, 2014 and the respondent on January 21, 2014. The parties have agreed that this Decision incorporates the parties’ agreement and disposes of all other claims asserted or that could have been asserted in the Application.
2Pursuant to s. 45.9 (2) and on the joint request of the parties, the Tribunal makes the following Final Order in this Application:
a. The individual respondents are removed from this Application and the style of cause of this Decision has been amended accordingly;
b. The respondent shall pay to the applicant the sum of $500.00 within 30 days of the date of this Decision;
c. At the next available opportunity, a statement will be read at a meeting of the Board of Regents of the University of Sudbury which acknowledges that the concerns raised by Dr. Corbiere at a board meeting in the spring of 2008 were not solely her own, but reflected the concerns of other members of the Native Studies Department.
3The parties have executed a Form 25 along with the Settlement Agreement.
4The Tribunal’s file shall be closed.
