1The complaint alleged discrimination because of disability contrary to the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”), in the special diet allowance provided under Ontario’s social assistance system. The complainant is now deceased. By letter dated September 12, 2014, the Tribunal wrote to the complainant’s Estate, at the address the complainant provided to the Tribunal. In the letter, the Tribunal advised that it required confirmation of who is authorized to act on behalf of the estate and also to confirm the estate’s intention’s in regards to the complainant’s complaint with the Tribunal. In the letter, the Tribunal directed the estate trustee or other representative to respond by October 3, 2014 or the complaint might be dismissed as abandoned.
2The Tribunal has not received any response to its September 12, 2014 letter.
ORDER
3In these circumstances, the complaint is dismissed as abandoned.
