1The Tribunal issued an Interim Decision (2014 HRTO 796) setting this Application down for a Summary Hearing. The Notice of Summary Hearing dated July 3, 2014 provided the parties with instructions to participate in the hearing by conference call.
2The call commenced as scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on August 29, 2014. Counsel for the respondent was in attendance, the applicant was not. I waited 30 minutes for the applicant to join the call, consistent with the practice of the Tribunal in circumstances where one of the parties has not appeared either in person or on the telephone.
3The Tribunal has not received any indication that the applicant did not receive the Notice of Summary Hearing. I am satisfied that the applicant has abandoned the Application.
4Accordingly, the Application is dismissed as abandoned.
