INTERIM DECISION
Adjudicator: Paul Aterman
Date: July 24, 2014
Citation: 2014 HRTO 1086
Indexed as: Marisett v. Foster
WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS
Cecilia Marisett, Applicant
Self-represented
1These three Applications all allege discrimination with respect to employment because of sex and sexual solicitation contrary to the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the "Code").
2The allegations are similar in nature and pertain to alleged actions of the same respondent in similar circumstances and in the same work environment.
3A hearing has been scheduled in 2014-16736-I on November 27 and 28, 2014. The applicant in the present Application has requested that the three Applications be consolidated and heard together. She indicates that the applicants in 2014-16848-I and 2014-16701-I consent to this request, are available to participate on the scheduled hearing dates and that all three applicants would give evidence in the hearings of each of the Applications.
4The respondent has not filed a response to the request for consolidation.
5In view of the related nature of the three Applications and the availability of all parties to proceed on hearing dates that have already been scheduled, and in view of the fact that the respondent takes no position on this request, I conclude that it would be fair, efficient and in the public interest to consolidate these Applications.
order
6The Applications in 2014-16848-I and 2014-16701-I are consolidated with the present Application and will be heard together with the Application in 2014-16736-I.
Dated at Toronto, this 24th day of July, 2014.
