1This Application alleges discrimination because of ancestry. The Application names the “High Court of Ontario” as the respondent and mentions the name of a judge. The Application relates to a trial which the applicant believes had an incorrect outcome. He believes that this may have been because of his Italian ancestry. The applicant indicates that he brought his complaints to the attention of the judge but they were ignored.

2The Tribunal sent the applicant a Notice of Intent to Dismiss on June 20, 2014. The Tribunal noted that it does not have authority to review decisions of the court about the outcome of a trial. The Tribunal explained that the Code does not apply to the outcome or decision of a Court because of a legal principle referred to as judicial immunity. The applicant was referred to decisions of the Tribunal on this point.

3The applicant filed some additional information but did not make any comment on whether the Tribunal has the power to deal with his Application.

DECISION

4The Tribunal does not have the power to deal with the allegations in the Application because they relate to the decision or outcome of a Court. The Application is dismissed.
