HUMAN RIGHTS TRIBUNAL OF ONTARIO
B E T W E E N:
Jamie Herold Applicant
-and-
Green For Life Environmental Corporation Respondent
DECISION
Adjudicator: Geneviève Debané
Date: June 14, 2014
Citation: 2014 HRTO 1025
Indexed as: Herold v. Green for Life Environmetal Corporation
1This Application alleges discrimination contrary to the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”).
2On May 13, 2014, the Tribunal issued a Notice of Intent to Dismiss (“NOID”) on the basis that it appeared that the allegations in the Application did not fall within the jurisdiction of the Tribunal. Though the applicant was invited to make submissions on this issue by June 12, 2014, he failed to do so.
3On June 24, 2014, the Tribunal sent the NOID to the applicant’s e-mail address and advised him that he had to make submissions by no later than July 2, 2014.
4The NOID advised the applicant that failure to respond to the NOID may be considered an abandonment of the Application and it might be dismissed for that reason. The applicant has not responded to the NOID and the time for doing so has now passed.
5In the circumstances, the applicant is deemed to have abandoned the Application.
6The Application is dismissed.
Dated at Toronto, this 14^th^ day of July, 2014.
