INTERIM DECISION
Adjudicator: Brian Cook
Indexed as: Dukes v. Woodstock Police Services Board
1This Application alleges discrimination in employment because of disability by the respondent. The applicant is a member of a bargaining unit and the Woodstock Police Association is the bargaining agent. The Association has filed a Request to Intervene. Neither the applicant nor the respondent has opposed the Request to Intervene.
2The Tribunal typically grants a Request to Intervene from a union when there is a continuing employment relationship between the applicant and the respondent because the union may have an interest in the outcome of the Application and may provide helpful input. Since the Request is not opposed, it is appropriate to grant the Request to Intervene.
