INTERIM DECISION
Adjudicator: Judith Keene Date: March 25, 2013 Citation: 2013 HRTO 497 Indexed as: Copenace v. Anishinaabe Abinoojii Family Services
WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS
Tina Copenace, Applicant Self-represented
Anishinaabe Abinoojii Family Services, Respondent No one appearing
Introduction
1This Interim Decision addresses a request made by the applicant to reactivate an Application, which was deferred by the Tribunal (see 2012 HRTO 980), pending the completion of a complaint filed with the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC).
2With her Request for an Order, the applicant filed a decision of the CHRC dated October 17, 2012. The decision indicates that the CHRC will not deal with the complaint because the respondent falls under provincial jurisdiction.
3The respondent has not responded to the applicant's Request, and the date for doing so has passed. The Application will be reactivated.
ORDER
4The Application will proceed. Both parties have indicated willingness to attempt mediation. The Registrar will set a mediation date.
Dated at Toronto, this 25th day of March, 2013.
