1The applicant filed an Application under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19 as amended (the “Code”), on December 3, 2012.
2On December 6, 2012, the Tribunal sent correspondence via regular mail to the applicant requesting submissions on whether the Tribunal had jurisdiction to proceed with the Application, to be filed not later than January 7, 2013. The applicant was informed that if he did not file written submissions by the required time, the Application could be dismissed as abandoned.
3On January 14, 2013, the Tribunal sent e-mail correspondence to the applicant with a copy of the December 6, 2012 correspondence. The Tribunal requested that the applicant respond to the correspondence not later than January 18, 2013.
4On January 14, 2013, the applicant replied to the e-mail and indicated that he would review the application “and get back to you in the coming days.”
5To date, the applicant has not responded to the Tribunal’s correspondence and has not provided submissions to the Tribunal on whether the Tribunal has the jurisdiction to proceed with the Application.
6In the circumstances, the applicant is deemed to have abandoned the Application.
7The Application is dismissed.
