Introduction
1The applicant filed an Application under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19 as amended (the “Code”), on January 2, 2013.
2On May 20, 2013 the applicant requested that the mediation previously scheduled for May 23, 2013 be rescheduled because of a personal emergency. On May 21, 2013 the Tribunal sent an email to the parties requesting that they provide mutually agreeable dates to reschedule the mediation. The applicant did not respond to this request.
3The Tribunal sent a further email to the parties on June 5, 2013 directing the applicant to provide 5 available dates for rescheduling the mediation by June 7, 2013. The applicant did not respond to this email.
4On June 25, 2013 the Tribunal sent a letter to the applicant by mail and email asking her to confirm her intentions with respect to the Application. The applicant was informed that if she did not advise the HRTO of her intentions by July 5, 2013 the Application could be dismissed as abandoned.
5To date, the applicant has not responded to any of the Tribunal’s correspondence.
6In the circumstances, the applicant is deemed to have abandoned the Application.
7The Application is dismissed.
