Indexed as: LaFontaine v. Ontario (Health and Long-Term Care)
APPEARANCES BY
Sylvia LaFountaine, Applicant: Self-represented
Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as represented by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and Cecilia Chen-See, Respondents: Roslyn Baichoo, Counsel
1The applicant filed an Application on October 26, 2010, under section 34 of Part IV of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”), alleging discrimination in employment on the ground of disability. The applicant requests to adjourn the hearing scheduled to begin on February 27, 2012. Her request is denied. Reasons will follow.
2The hearing will proceed on February 27, 2012, on which day the applicant will testify first. As it appears that the applicant is not calling any other witnesses, the respondents must be prepared for their two witnesses to proceed on the second day of the hearing.
Dated at Toronto, this 24th day of February, 2012.
